Our Favorite Videos Of The Week 3/2-3/9

Everyone needs a break from the relentless disparity of watching newsfeeds 24/7. One of the things we do to break up our day is watch new videos. Of course, the majority of those we see are meh at best, but when we find a good one, one that makes us feel something other than hopelessness, we like to share it. Here are this week’s top picks.

This video is a little long, but it perfectly sums up how we feel every day as Americans: Abject Failure.

Weekend Update is what happens when you let your ‘friends’ write the news for you. For those who may not get the joke toward the end, Colin Jost is married to actress Scarlett Johanssen and yes, her pay most definitely dwarfs his.

Lady Gaga released a new album this week and it immediately went to the top of streaming charts. She was also the host on SNL last night. This is the video from the first single off her album.

Randy Rainbow released a new parody song with a melody you’re sure to recognize. He picks right up where he left off in 2020 and its wonderful!

The Publisher no longer spends 40 hours a day watching fashion shows, but he did sit everyone down to watch Sarah Burton’s debut for Givenchy. To no one’s surprise, she channels Alexander McQueen’s catalog rather strongly for this first collection.

We’re suckers for a good story about someone doing something they’re supposedly ‘too old’ to do. It’s not like there are any spring chickens running around this newsroom. But what Lindsay Vonn is doing sets the bar pretty damn high for everyone else who’s turning 40 this year.

While this video is six months old, the song ‘Die With A Smile’ is number 2 this week on Billboard’s Top 100 and even the kids don’t mind when we put this one on repeat.

When Tate McRae broke onto the Billboard charts at #22 this week, we thought we’d give it a try. The song is… okay. The kids like it. But the video is HOT, and a bit exhausting. We remember when CBS censors kept trying to put more clothes on Cher. Now, dancing in your underwear is just a normal thing!

What if every time you die, you were just printed out again? There are some serious questions raised here and, to be honest, we can’t wait to see the movie!

We have a higher-than-normal ratio of science nerds around here so when StarTalk broached the subject of fusion energy, everyone was paying attention!
